Here's what the Colts' 2025 coaching staff will look like this upcoming year.

The Colts on Friday announced their 2025 coaching staff, which features four new members headlined by defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo.

The Colts announced thehiring of Anarumo in January.

Linebackers coach James Bettcheris in his 22nd year as a coach and brings a dozen years of NFL experience to the Colts, where in 2012 he got his first pro job as a special assistant to the head coach under former head coach Chuck Pagano. Bettcher spent the last three years with Anarumo as the Bengals' linebackers coach.

Bettcher served as defensive coordinator for the Arizona Cardinals (2015-2017) and New York Giants (2018-2019) and was a senior defensive assistant/run game specialist for the San Francisco 49ers in 2021. Bettcher followed former Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians to Arizona in 2013 and served as the Cardinals' outside linebackers coach (2013-2014) before being promoted to defensive coordinator.

A native of Lakeville, Ind., Bettcher got his coaching start in 2003 as the special teams coordinator/defensive line coach at the University of St. Francis (Fort Wayne, Ind.) from 2003-2005. He also spent time at the college level at Bowling Green (2006), North Carolina (2007-2009), Ball State (2010) and New Hampshire (2011).

Bettcher was a two-time NAIA Coaches All-American offensive lineman at St. Francis (1999-2002) and was inducted into the school's Hall of Fame in 2012.

Defensive backs coach Jerome Hendersonhas coached in the NFL since 2007, and had an eight-year playing career as a defensive back with the New England Patriots (1991-1993, 1996), Buffalo Bills (1993-1994), Philadelphia Eagles (1995) and New York Jets (1997-1998). Henderson, a 1991 second-round draft pick from Clemson, appeared in 98 games (32 starts) with nine interceptions and 228 tackles.

Henderson got his coaching start with the Jets as an assistant defensive backs coach (2007) and defensive backs coach (2008). He served as defensive backs coach for the Cleveland Browns (2009-2011) and Dallas Cowboys (2012-2015) before joining the Atlanta Falcons as pass game coordinator/secondary coach (2016-2019). Henderson was brought on as the New York Giants' defensive backs coach in 2020, and he added passing game coordinator to his title in 2024 with the Giants before being hired by the Colts in 2025.

Henderson also served as the Jets' director of player development in 2006 and 2007.

Henderson is a native of Statesville, N.C. He's been a part of three Super Bowls: Two as a player (Super Bowl XXVIII with the Bills; Super Bowl XXXI with the Patriots) and one as a coach (Super Bowl LI with the Falcons).

Pass game coordinator/secondary coach Chris Hewittjoins the Colts after spending the last 13 seasons on John Harbaugh's coaching staff with the Baltimore Ravens. With Baltimore, Hewitt has served as assistant special teams coach (2012-2013), assistant secondary coach (2014), defensive backs coach (2015-2019), pass defense coordinator/secondary coach (2020-2023) and assistant head coach/pass game coordinator/secondary coach (2024).

Hewitt played three seasons as a defensive back for the New Orleans Saints (1997-1999), appearing in 39 games (four starts) with 39 tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble and 19 special teams stops. Hewitt was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week in Week 12 of the 1997 season.

A native of Kingston, Jamaica and an alum of the University of Cincinnati, Hewitt began coaching at the college level in 2003 with Notre Dame and then Rutgers from 2004-2011.

The Colts additionally announcedHarriet P. Irsay Fellow Isabel DiazandTony Dungy Diversity Fellows Kalon HumphriesandDiego Ortizwill return in their same roles for the 2025 season. A second Harriet P. Irsay Fellow will be announced later in 2025.

Diaz is entering her third year as a Harriet P. Irsay Fellow with the Colts, while Humphries and Ortiz joined the Colts in 2024.

In addition to announcing their 2025 coaching staff, the Colts also promotedLeigh Hullettto director of performance nutrition. Hullett in 2024 finished her third season as the team's dietician, and before joining the Colts she was the director of sports nutrition at Notre Dame. Hullett is a graduate of Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School in Indianapolis.
