BYD currently employs around 60,000 workers at its production base in Henan province's capital city, and the expansion aims to increase production capacity this year, the report stated.
In 2024, the Zhengzhou facility saw 545,000 vehicles roll off the assembly line, a 169.8 percent increase from the previous year.
